Hamas has largely expected a ceasefire and withdrawal of IDF soldiers to allow its members to return to pockets across northern and central Gaza, including Shifa hospital.
Since the start of the activities in Shifa, over 170 terrorists have been killed, and around 500 terrorists associated with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad have been arrested.
The Iranian FM had previously spoken with Hamas political bureau leader Ismail Haniyeh on Thursday.
The forces killed Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist Ahmed Barakat, the murderer of Meir Tamari, who was killed in a terror attack in Hermesh in May of 2023.
"This period [Ramadan] has a unique religious meaning in the Muslim world. Muslim terrorist organizations see Ramadan as an opportunity to carry out attacks and acts of violence," the statement read.
Violent methods must be roundly rejected and called out as the hallmark of insanity, mental deficiency, cruelty, oppression, and the end of a normal and healthy society.
